About the President

Welcome to the American Association for Sex Addiction Therapy. I am Douglas Weiss, Ph.D. and I serve as the active President and founder of AASAT. I, like you, am a clinician helping sex addicts and their families recover for more than 20 years. Our class is highly academic and clinically practical for those of you pursuing more training.

I enjoy seeing our movement grow yearly. I personally have had two movies done about my clinical practice, have appeared on Oprah, Dr. Phil and numerous others as a national expert in the field of sexual addiction. I have written twelve books in this field, am an adjunct professor, and the Executive Director of Heart to Heart Counseling Center in Colorado Springs.
